There might be different reasons why shoppers abandon their carts, i.e. they were just browsing, found a better price elsewhere, decided against buying, payment was declined, etc.

The typical shopping cart abandonment rate for online retailers varies between 60% and 80%, so it is actually fine that you see some orders with the Abandoned status in your order list. However, there are ways to minimize the abandonment rate, for example:

1. Offering different payment methods - offering payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express along PayPal usually increases conversion significantly. You can check out the list of payment gateways allowing card payments and integrated with Sellvia. If you are using the Sellvia Payments, you may ignore this step.

2. Offering Free Shipping - this strategy proved to be the best in persuading the customers to complete their orders.

3. Offering support - providing a telephone number or chatbox on the checkout page not only gives shoppers confidence but also allows them to ask you some questions instead of leaving the site.
